What is Leadership?

  Helping others

  Responsible

  Empathy

  Inclusive

  Being polite

  Be fair

  Guide people

  Encourage others

  “Step up to the plate”-take initiative (don’t wait for someone else to tell you what to do)

  Respect peoples space

  Don’t judge others (by how they look)

  Respect people’s thoughts (and how the think and feel) “diversity”

  Ignore stereotypes- get to know someone/ask

  Have followers

  Perseverance

 

Examples of Leaders in my life and why:

  · President Bush (has followers, courageous)

  · High School principal (made rules)

  · Dad (empathy, courageous, responsible)

  · Mom (stable/steadfast, trust)

  · Professional wrestler (respectful in real-life, admirable)

  · Friend (stands up for values)

  · B. Milzarski (tells what to do and what not to do/ guides)

  · Jesus (guides)

  · Parents (help whenever needed)

  · Ghandi (respect, followed and gave a lot of advice)

  · Grandma (taught me everything I know)

  · Gov. Granholm (met her 5 times, 1st female Gov. in MI.)

  · Parents (1st to say I could “do something with my life”)

  · Mentor- Nancy Brundidge (“had strength and abilities to run a program”)

  · Mom (always does what’s right/ not always what’s popular

 

My Strongest Leadership Characteristic:

   Take initiative

   Tell as much information as I can

   Willing to make mistakes and learn from them

   Good organizer
