All of these websites allow for posting one’s resume and searching local jobs.

 

  1. MLive: to use the Internet to search for jobs that have been posted in the Grand Rapids Press, go to http://www.mlive.com/jobs/ and click on “FIND LOCAL JOBS”. Then follow the step by step directions.

 

  1. Michigan Works!: The Michigan Works Service Centers in Grand Rapids (and throughout the state) use the Michigan Talent Bank to post jobs and to post the resumes of job seekers. To search for jobs on the Talent Bank, go to http://www.michworks.org/mtb/pages/seeker/Jobseeker.jsp. Click on “search for jobs” and follow the instructions.

 

  1. CareerMatrix: This is a service that employers pay for to have their job openings posted. Job seekers can post their resume online for employers to see. To search for job openings, go to http://www.careermatrix.com/Seeker/Search/index.asp and select the type of job you are looking for. Or just click on the tab named “employers” and you will get a list of all of the employers that list on CareerMatrix. Click on the employer of interested to find out about jobs.

 

  1. BestJobsMichigan: To search for jobs, go to  http://www.bestjobsmichigan.com/. Under “Search Local” designate your criteria and click “search”.

 

  1. Michigan CareerSite: This website allows you to create a personal profile to be viewed by employers as well as search for jobs. Go to http://michigan.careersite.com/perl/vaui/Search and enter your job criteria.

 

  1. Net-Temps: Offers job postings for temporary, contract and full time positions through Michigan and the United States. Go to http://www.net-temps.com/jobs/channel.htm and select location and any other criteria, then click search.

 

  1. Yahoo HotJobs: Search for jobs in Grand Rapids by going to http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/jobs/MI/Grand-Rapids/

 

  1. WorkGrandRapids: This can be access by going to http://www.workgrandrapids.com/

 

  1. Monster.com: Monster is just that, a monster on-line job board with many local jobs posted, go to http://jobsearch.monster.com/
